Personal Development

Wisdom

Life must be lived forwards; but it can only be understood backwards. - Kierkegaard (Danish philosopher)

A teacher, when asked by a student, "Why do we have to learn all this stuff?" responded with the story of "The Magic Pebbles."
What can we learn from it?

Can you imagine what it would be like to improve yourself in every way? How would it feel to know you were making a real contribution to your world? Wouldn't it be inspiring to feel that because of you and your work, someone's life was enriched? Or that the whole universe was positively amplified because you are a part of it?

As intelligent beings we possess an ability to listen, to notice what is happening around us, and to be in tune with the rhythm and flow of our lives. We are continually in the process of growth. Things happen. Life changes. And we might ask, "What do I do now? What's the next step?" An important thing to remember is that we are never wise enough. There is always something to learn.
