The Golden Rule
Kindness, compassion, and consideration have often been described as "love in action." Isn't this what The Golden Rule is about? Each day offers many opportunities for everyone to do some kindness for another and to be considerate, understanding, and supportive.

We can start with the talents we already possess. There is a reward greater than any money or appreciation might bring. This reward is the awareness that we have done our work and given our service in the best way possible. This is the feeling of happiness and satisfaction that comes from the real giving of our inner selves.

Every time we breathe in and out we are giving and receiving what is vital to the world. Breathing in provides us with oxygen necessary for human existence. Breathing out gives back the carbon dioxide necessary for the plant world. In the spiritual world, principle of "giving and receiving" is as important to human well-being as the life-sustaining act of breathing!
