Successful Living

Hard Work

When you like your work, every day is a holiday - Frank Tyger

Work - an occupation or a vocation?
Sooner or later young people have to decide what kind of work to do. The transition from adolescence to adulthood often points us in the direction of what we wish to do with our lives.

On the one hand, work can be described as a job that sustains your interest while you make enough money to support yourself in a comfortable lifestyle. On the other hand, work can become a vocation or an inner calling to enhance and use our special talents and abilities for a specific and worthwhile purpose.

The difficult is done at once; the impossible takes a little longer - American proverb

gibran

Kahlil Gibran

A careful choice of a career can contribute to humanity as well as provide personal growth and fulfilment. Our work, what we do and how we do it, is a personal statement. If we look at the work we do from a spiritual perspective, every job has meaning and purpose in the overall scheme of things. Do the work you love and love what you do! A vocation entails much more than putting in hours to earn an income

Every person has a psychological need to find joy in his or her work. When we are pursuing a worthwhile vocation for which we feel a natural passion, we activate a joyful inner purpose. We seek substance in our work. Most people want to expand their talents and be creatively challenged. As we work with purpose and enthusiasm, success becomes a natural by-product.
