Saint Vincent de Paul

Vincent De Paul was a very kind priest who spent much of his life caring for the poor and looking after ill people. Throughout his life he worked very hard to earn money and gave it all away to help the poor. He often cared for the poor and ill in his own home. He gave many children food, clothing, toys and love.
Vincent needed help for all the good deeds he was doing. He therefore gathered a group of men and women to help with his work. They all dedicated their lives to helping the poor and needy. The women were called the Sisters of Charity and the men were called the Priests of the Mission. After his death in 1660, the Vincentians and Sisters of Charity continued the work that Vincent had started.
The virtues that Vincent showed throughout his life were Justice, Faith, Hope and Love (Charity).
